Instructions for presenters
Thank you for participating at IST 2017, 18-21 June in Gothenburg, Sweden. Below you find information that will help preparing your contribution.
All presenting authors should have registered for the conference to be included in the final program.
Instructions for Oral Presentations (Paper, Speed talk and Dialog Sessions)
- Paper: 10 min. (10 min. presentation and 10-15 min. discussion)
- Speed talk: 4 min. (4 min. presentation and 20-25 min. discussion)
- Session chairs have been instructed to rigorously enforce the schedule, i.e., to strictly limit the length of each presentation. We kindly ask you for your understanding and for your cooperation in keeping time.
- Dialogue sessions come in various innovative formats. Organizers may distribute their 90 minutes as they like. If you present within a dialog session, you are kindly asked to contact the session conveyor for further instructions. If you have the necesity of using skype during your dialogue session, please contact the conference secretariat.
Make sure that you turn up well before your session starts to meet your session chair and the other speakers. Bring with you a copy of your presentation on a USB flash drive to the room. Please upload and test your presentation in good time.
Computers and Technical assistance
Computers onsite will be PC´s. Presentations should be in Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT). MAC users who want to submit presentations must export their presentation as a MS PowerPoint file or save as pdf file.
There will be a technician available in the main plenary room and technical assistance upon request for the parallel rooms.
Presentation format
The standard format of the projectors in the conference rooms will be 16:9 (wide screen).
The default slide size in PowerPoint 2013 is widescreen (16:9), for earlier versions of PowerPoint it might be necessary to manually change this. Change the slide size from standard (4:3) to widescreen (16:9).
Important Information for Poster Presentations
Location and mounting
Each poster will be on display during the whole conference. As presenter, you are asked to attend your Poster during coffee and lunch breaks and present your Poster during the poster session, 19th of June 14.00-15.00. The Poster should summarize your research results using visuals such as tables, graphs, and pictures.
Posters should be mounted between 16:00 pm Sunday 18th and 9:00 am Monday 19th. Mounting material will be provided by the conference staff and each poster board will be marked by the poster number. Poster presenters are responsible for the removal of their materials from boards at the end of the conference.
Poster measurements
The maximum size of your poster should be 90cm (width) x 120cm (height), portrait style.
Poster PDF available via the online conference programme
In addition to the real-world exhibition, accepted posters can be uploaded in pdf format via the presenters personal page. Uploaded posters will be accessible for conference delegates via the online conference programme.
